Obamacare was designed to allow every individual healthcare coverage, but the conflict between state and federal subsidies could leave many Americans in a traumatic state when it comes to benefiting from tax credits.
Apparently, if you signed up for Obamacare in a state that hasn’t set up their own exchanges then you cannot benefit from subsidies. Now that this new problem has presented itself, the government has a major decision to make on finding a solution.
So, what is going to happen to Americans that have signed up for Obamacare if the decision of the law is overturned?
Premiums will skyrocket. Without Obamacare, established health insurance companies can increase rates for health coverage for individuals and their families.
Americans will lose their health insurance. Obamacare allowed many Americans health coverage when they couldn’t qualify otherwise.
The percentage of Americans without health coverage will increase. If Obamacare falls through individuals will most likely be in the same situation as they were before the law came into effect, maybe worse.
It seems Obamacare still has a few kinks the government is trying to work through, but if Obamacare is overturned many Americans would be left devastated. Losing tax credits is one thing, but losing health coverage is another.
How are you benefiting from Obamacare? If something happens to Obamacare, how would you be affected by it?
